There are 573 students and 54 teachers. Students are from 6 to16. Pupils learn English from the second class. They learn Russian or German languages from the sixth class.
We do different kind of projects such as drugs and alcohol prevention, healthy eating habits, healthy lifestyle, sports, hygiene and good quality of lifestyle for our pupils.

AFTER SCHOOL

About 56 % of our school children attend after school clubs. There are different kind of clubs in our school, such as sport‘s, drama‘s, local lore studies and art‘s clubs.
We have „ Jaunieji valančiukai“, „Caritas“, „ Jaunieji šauliai“ organisations. We also have some traditional festivals, for example, christening party for 5th class students, Christmas party, St. Valentine‘s day, family festivals and a party for 10th class students - „ Hundred days party“.
There are some after school groups where students can do their homework and play games.
Now, our school children are trying to create the local television, which are making reports about school‘s life.
One of the main school‘s rules is to learn children not only to take but also to give something to somebody. For that reason, we organize „ The kindness week“, when we visit old people in Tauragė‘s hospital. Also we get presents for those people who are sick and who don‘t have any relatives or friends who can care of  them.

EVENTS
The Timetable of  Events

2007-09-01 -  the 1st of September – the new academic year‘s day.
The 1st of September is the traditional start of the new school year, referred to as "First September" or  "Day of Knowledge." On this day, the children, accompanied by their parents and other relatives, attend ceremonies hosted by their school. It is traditional for the first-year students to give flowers to those entering their final year, and to then be taken to class by the older children.

2007-10-05 – the Teacher‘s Day  are intended to be special days for the appreciation of teachers.
On National Teacher‘s  Day, thousands of communities are taking time out to honor their local educators and acknowledge the contributions they make to our lives.
One of the ways when pupil can show their respect for their teachers is to give them Teacher's Day poems. Poems for Teachers' Appreciation Day can help them express their feelings if they find it difficult to say them themselves. They do not cost anything, but are priceless to the teachers. And another way is to show their thanks  to give a lovely flower.

2007-10-18 – The fifth-year student‘s christening.
There is a tradition to celebrate the fifth-year student‘s  christening in our school. The fifth-year students had to present their groups ingeniously. All the sixth-year students were preparing a lot of  tasks for the fifth-year student‘s and blessed them for starting their new and interesting trip in the world of knowledges. The fifth-year students had to show their physical abilities, their dexterity, knowledges  and, certainly, they had to improve their courage.
